Keep doors open In November 30 CODEP held a Fair Day among major partner organizations that the project has been cooperating with since 2007. The notable thing was that the partners, in their introductions, were recognizing their responsibilities upon works done, which shows their ownership will.
Organization of such gatherings makes information flow correct and allows generating innovative ideas to upgraded present synergy. Another advantage for us was to identify overlooked sides and gaps in terms of cooperation and possible activities with the partners.
D. Bayarbat, NCCD Secretary: This is the first time ever that we come to such informal gathering, where people can freely go around and openly interact with each other. It brings positive atmosphere and relieves the tension.
Major concerns identified were relevant to water saving, improving and expanding public awareness raising actions in order to ensure control over the use of natural resources (tree planting was not an exception, in no case).
Having such a gathering served as a good practice for CODEP to reflect on better alternatives to bring different stakeholders together in order to generate actual results in terms of knowledge dissemination and concrete products as well. In December 12 upon the initiative of the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism a similar demonstration of the project was held at the Ministry, where water management issues were mainly raised up.
