SDC in Mongolia - Best Humanitarian Organization of 2008 PDF Print E-mail

SDC in Mongolia received the "Pride 2008" award for the Best Humanitarian Organization in 2008 on 29 December 2008.

 

award.JPGIt was selected for its humanitarian endeavours for improving livelihoods of poor and vulnerable herders and artisanal miners, for its innovative projects to contribute to sustainable natural resource management and poverty reduction in Mongolia.

MP U. Enkhtuvshin and D. Oyunkhorol were honoured guests and handed over the awards. "This honour is not to me, but to the hardworking and creative staff and partners of our organization. Herders, farmers and artisanal miners are the PRIDE of Mongolia. We are proud of them!" said Mr Dubach, Country Director of SDC in Mongolia at reception of the award.

As in previous years, FACE PR Agency and INVIM Entertainment organized the 'Pride of Mongolia' award competition. Among the best Humanitarian organizations were JICA, World Vision and others. There were other categories, for example, the Prime Minister, S. Bayar received the award for the 'Outstanding Politician' for the second time in a row. Ts.Myanganbayar from Mongol Gazar Co.Ltd received two awards: One as the Best National Company and one for the Best Sponsor Company.
