Farmers and vegetable growers, who have joined into Water User Groups and communities, organized group development Festival with the aim to more mobilize group members, share experiences on soil and water conservation technologies, they are testing and strengthen cooperation ties between the members.

With such a festival Groups can feel the importance of joining the forces and the interest of the farmers who are not yet in the groups to cooperate for better livelihood will raise. The other important side of this event is better understanding between the groups, local administration and the Project.

During the Festival local project staff held a meeting with the groups to discuss further feasibilities to improve the effectiveness of such cooperation and the Leaders of each group presented their findings and major works implemented since the establishment.

At the event the Groups selected outstanding vegetables (watermelon 10kg, potato 1.2 kg etc.). Members of "Tugs Ireedui" Group, which sowed highest number of vegetables were saying "Being a group we see we can achieve a lot and equal allocation of water resources allows its effective use".

Leader of "Jangalkhan Urgats" WUG: "We will try our best to combat desertification for pleasant life of our future generation".
